Concerto da camera in d
The three-movement work with a dance movement at its conclusion is comparable to the concertos from Horae pomeridianae (Brk Coll. 4), but unlike those works, it begins with a fast movement. The musical material of that movement reveals inspiration by the music of Antonio Vivaldi, a paraphrase of a motif used originally in the aria “Ti sento, sì, ti sento” from the opera La costanza trionfante degl’amori e degl’odii (RV 706) and also, for example, in the first movement of the Concerto in F major (RV 442).
