Missa Sanctae Scholasticae
The mass has survived uniquely in the music collection of the Kremsmünster Abbey and was copied by local scribe in 1724. Its title suggests that it was composed specifically for the Benedictines (St. Scholastica was a twin sister of St. Benedict and the patroness of the Benedictine order). According to Altman Kellner’s “Musikgeschichte des Stiftes Kremsmünster”, the mass was one of the more frequently performed compositions at the Kremsmünster Abbey.
